COSMO is pleased to announce that our friends, the Asian University for Women (AUW) are holding a fundraising event in Tokyo on March 16th.
The AUW, founded in Chittagong, Bangladesh, is an international university designed to educate new generations of female leaders from the developing countries of Asia. The school provides all of its students a full scholarship for a three year undergraduate degree, in addition to a one-year, pre-collegiate program. The schools works to provide its students a comprehensive educational foundation so that they can use their knowledge to make social, economic, and political differences in their countries.
The event is to be held on at the Tokyo American Club on March 16th, 2017 from 7pm. Dr. Nirmala Rao, the AUW’s Vice Chancellor will be speaking, along with Keiko Ihara, one of Japan’s most talented professional race car drivers. Tickets are 10,000yen per person, and only 3,000yen for students, with all funds going to support the AUW’s work.
